I have never posted up any links to the video from the start. I seriously don't know who is the one spreading the rumor. Those who were at this site at the time I posted my first entry can testify to this (Marcus are you reading this?). And right from the start my direction of the story is that the girl is the victim. I don't know how people can misinterpret otherwise.

Update: I don't understand why taking down the pictures, which you should do as a form of courtesy for tammy since you have already been asked to do so, is so hard.
A channel news asia reporter, one of the first few to contact me, promised that she would be able to get legal advice for tammy and to present the story as accurately as possible, with no loopholes. Since legal advice is what tammy needs right now, I have convinced her friend to speak to the reporter.

Update: I regret to inform you that publishing the screenshots does not equate to agreeing with anything. Tammy's friend was giving me an account of what happened when he phoned you to take down the pics. He was expressing his frustration that even after repeated attempts in trying to get you to remove the pics, you chose not to. Anyway can you please tell me what refusing to take down the pics after phone calls from tammy's friends equate to?
If those words were all that you need so that you would take down her pics, so be it. I hope you keep your word.

Update 3:26pm: To the blogger who has yet to take down the pictures, I think you should have gotten the authencity of the request through phone by now. The possibility of legal action was relayed by her friend. And no, I have not changed my direction. If you had read the first entry properly you would know that.
Update: Thanks to the reader who informed me about some screenshot issue. It has been fixed.
I will no longer be giving out any more information about tammy to any mainstream journalists after my encounter with LianHe ZaoBao Senior Reporter Tang Hai Guo. Tammy would also not entertain any mainstream journalists.
I am lost for words. I am utterly disappointed with the mainstream media. I will just let the screenshots do the talking.

This is an overview of my email exchange with LianHe ZaoBao senior reporter Tang Hai Guo.
The LianHe ZaoBao reporter asked me for the contact of tammy. I shared a quote with the reporter to highlight the fact that it was NYP's Examinations Period and it will be an inappropriate time to contact the victim. I SPECIFICALLY told the reporter not to use the quote. I told him it was privileged information. What did the reporter do??? He betrayed my trust. He had little clues and used whatever little information that he could get his hands on, even when I told him the information was confidential. He abandoned me after he thought his colleague found the victim's contact. Well guess what? They got the wrong contact because as far as I know, tammy has not been contacted by any mainstream journalists. Trust a senior reporter to make such a silly mistake!
I told the reporter to include a link back to my site so that I can clarify any misquotes or any errors in his reporting. He told me that his boss said the paper can't mention any blog link in the story (what a convenient excuse!) And guess what they did? They included a screenshot of the blog site that Straits Times originally used in yesterday's article (Read this for context) with a picture of tammy and the url of the blog.
I have read the report and I must say its filled with inaccuracies. One example (I will translate here since the paper is in chinese) is that "the incident happened somewhere in the school and that is why the school authorities may be thinking of expelling her".
I have asked the featured blog to take down tammy's pictures on her behalf. However, the blog has chosen to upload new pictures instead. This is my warning to the blog owner: You are playing with fire! Even the site that hosted the video (which the featured blog linked to) has taken it down after the request from tammy. I am asking you one more time to take down all the victim's pictures. If you don't, and tammy decides to take any action against you, don't say you have not been warned.

Update: I noticed that the blog that the Straits Times has decided to use in its report, for whatsoever reason has decided to link to the video for download. I also noticed that a metafilter site has linked to the video as well. I really hope the blogger/bloggers who put up the link to the video would take it down. Distribution of Pornographic Material is illegal.
As far as I know, Straits Times Reporter Sharifa Maria Almenoar DID NOT manage to contact tammy as she did not reply to the email I sent back to her. I did not give her any links and that explains why she was not able to find the video. The least she could have told me was that she was under time pressure to get the report out. I think by the time I replied to her she had already written the story and it was based on whatever information that she managed to get from the blogs, some of which are untrue. Since some of the things I have clarified with her did not appear in her report, I shall publish it here.

For Animal Lovers
This was sent to me some time back.
Dear Xialanxue,
So sorrry to disturb you. I am just wondering if you can help me regarding a certain matter. Just yesterday i found my young cousin pelting my hamsters with seeds and i was alerted by their painful squeaks. Upon questioning he defiantly told me that animals are stupid, have no feelings and asked why we should treat them so nicely. The worst thing was when he said : "Xiaxue said animals don't feel hurt. They have no brain. And xiaxue said humans shouldnt be punished if we hit animals cos we are smarter."
I went to the so called great asian blogger's website and was very disappointed to read what she wrote. As a past volunteer at vet clinics, SPCA and the zoo, i feel that she has somewhat undone what these organisations have tried to teach the public for a long time. That animal abuse is wrong.
She is trying to say that we shouldnt overly pamper our animals. That i agree with her. However,not mollycoddling our animals does not equate disregarding their basic needs such as proper hygenic homes, not tying strings around their necks and handling them roughly. Worse, she mentions that animals don't have feelings and even throws in her friends' opinions that animal abusers shouldnt be sent to jail and should just "seek help"
As a member of various animal organisations, we have campaigned for stricter laws in singapore for smuggling in animals (like a longer jail term). Many of these animals (i have seen with my own eyes) even give birth during their smuggling process. When we find them the babies are all dead and the mother is in such a bad condition, any one with a heart would not be able to bear such a sight. However, xiaxue asserts that animals are fine with terrible conditions because they "propogate". And that they "propogate only if they are comfortable in their environment".
The younger generation is the most crucial in our awareness campaign. Animal abusers should not be sent to just "seek help" and no one should say just because we humans have feelings of pride and isolation we shouldnt be jailed for abusing those who "apparently" dont have such feelings.(Which is absolutely wrong of cause, anyone who owns a pet knows they are capable of expressing themselves.) Then in this case if people feel that kids with down's syndrome/ mental illnesses don't have such feelings and capacity of higher thought like normal humans, then i guess psychos who abuse them shouldnt go to jail too.
The illegal chatuchak pet trade that presents animals in poor conditions is something animal organisations have been trying to discourage and eradicate for a long time. No demand no supply. But xiaxue has happily posted pictures of all the cutesy pets in cages, not to condemn the conditions mind you, but to gush over how adorable they are. She even posts up pictures of endangered animals like a slow loris, and flippantly mentions her desire to smuggle it back to singapore! She also mentions that she almost wanted to buy the bunnies and cuddle them for a few days and then just letting them go when she leaves for singapore. I can almost hear a crack in SPCA's foundation.
I am worried. I am worried that my rich spoilt brat of a cousin will demand to be flown to thailand and he will smuggle back that slow loris and then condemn it to live in its own flith. Like how they do in chatuchak market. Because it's ok. So says xiaxue. And i hear that xiaxue owns a dog herself. How ironic.
We animal volunteers are not just blind animal lovers. We scold and discipline our animals if need be. Please, xialanxue, you are a journalist. Our organisations are not as far reaching as the media. Help us, even if its just to alert people on your website not to support such markets and animal ill treatment.

After some email exchanges with tammy and her friend, I managed to get a better understanding about the facts of the story reported earlier. However I will not disclose any further information as yet because we are currently trying to track down the culprit that took the phone and uploaded the video in the first place (I have promised tammy that I will assist in the investigations).
If you have any clues/leads or you know of any particular person who is likely to have held a grudge against tammy, please send the information in to xialanxue@gmail.com. I will forward all relevant information to tammy (If you choose to send in any information, your identity will be kept confidential).
P.S. There is a very important point to note: In one of the EDMW threads, someone digged up information from the NYP database - The information recovered from the NYP database is NOT tammy's particulars.

Tammy: Another NYP Sex Scandal

When you pick up a handphone from a school campus/anywhere, what would you do?
a) bring it to the lost & found counter/police station b) trade it in for a new handphone c) keep it for personal use d) transfer the pictures and videos in the phone to your computer and upload it on the net.
Apparently d) is the option that is gaining in popularity in Singapore these days and it leaves some wondering how potential victims can be better protected from such malicious acts.
Case in point: The most recent case (which has yet to be reported in the mainstream media but which is currently spreading like wild fire in our very own local forums as we speak) of such an incident involves an NYP cheerleader. According to various yet to be verified sources, a rival who was jealous of tammy's popularity stole the latter's handphone which contained private intimate video clips of tammy and her boyfriend. The rival extracted the clips onto her computer and mass mailed it to NYP students and staff. The 10 minute clip ended up in popular local pornographic forums and has reached audiences as far as the UK and US within a day. Some EDMWers (who happen to be students of NYP) have also gone into the school's database and digged up tammy's full name, email address and faculty.
Further sources revealed that this is not the first sex scandal involving NYP. Not too long ago, a NYP lecturer by the name of Susan Chua was implicated in a sex scandal involving a student from the same school. It has been rumored that NYP authorities are looking into expelling tammy (Could my readers who are studying in NYP please confirm this?) My question (to NYP authorities) is: Shouldn't the girl who stole tammy's handphone and mass mailed the video clip to the whole of NYP be expelled instead? Also (to my law students/lawyers readers), is there a legal case against this malicious girl? (If there isn't, there should be)
Moral of the story: If you want to take private intimate videos of yourself, don't use your handphone (especially if you are in Singapore, where there are so many cases of people losing their handphones every day).

"I don't know how to use paypal"
I have been rather busy lately, so much so that I can only afford to check my mail once in 2 or 3 days now.
Along with the backlog of real mails for me to read, the following such spam mails always seem to find themselves into my inbox. Apparently Gmail isn't doing its job very well.
"Dearest one.
Actually I did not want to discuss this matter with you before but after fasting and prayer I just decided to contact you for your help, please I real need your help.
I am 20 years old girl. I leave alone because I don't want the people who killed my late Father, to kill me too.
I will be very happy if you promised me that you will keep this secret until this money arrival your care in your country.
My late Father deposited one trunk of box with a security company here before his dead and because of situation of political crisis here that led to war going on here in my country, I need some body that I will trust to come in and help me claim this consignment out from the company for the safety of my property that was deposited under there custody.
Please I am contacting you for your assistance, to help me because I don't have anyone in here to help me and I don't have money to travel from here to any country please I need your assistance to stand by me and help me to transfer the box to your for future investment.

I think we have all heard of fellow Singaporeans falling for such scams. My advice: When an offer seems too good to be true, ask yourself whether you would make the same type of offer in the same situation.
Just for fun, I sent a reply to one of these scammers once and asked cheekily for him to transfer the money he claims to be freely giving away to my paypal account.
His reply? - "I don't know how to use paypal."

Seriously, what's up with all these impersonators anyway?
[Update: I have emailed Dawn and am waiting for her reply. I have also added a new screenshot.]
I was looking at my sitemeter statistics today when I saw some traffic coming from an unknown forum.
I checked it out and realized that somebody was impersonating as Dawn Yang/Yeo! But an alert forum user there directed the attention of the other clueless ones to my earlier entries about Dawn, thus exposing the impersonator.
When will people realize that they can never really get away with impersonation?
I am going to inform Dawn in a moment. The screenshots will serve as evidence in case the impersonator edits his/her forum postings.

Why One Gmail Account is never enough
I think it's about time for me to really figure out a quick and easy way to transfer all my existing mails to an archive account. Forwarding them one by one will take forever and even though I can always create another account when my existing one becomes full, I would prefer to stick to one email address for correspondence to avoid any confusions.
On the upside, my 228,888th unique visitor arrived on the 2nd day of the lunar new year!
