You have to be more careful about how you're seen in public, that's true. Bloggers in the public eye alos has to be more mindful about what they write (esp. a certain "famous" blogger).
Yes, the integrity of their public and private life is more open to scrutiny, but it's wrong to assume that they therefore have no privacy rights whatsoever. The paparazzi press never seems to (or wants to) know where to draw the line.

That's how the game plays. If they want to have their own personal freedom and privacy, they shouldn't even be in the showbiz at all.
They can be termed as celebrities or stars but generally they are entertainers. It may sound harsh but their roles are to entertain the general public, using their talents, their skills, their looks and their private life affairs. If no one is talking about them, or no one has any interests in them, they won't be able to make it big. Probably, another way of saying, if they aren't hot, no one will bother to talk about them. They can be extremely talented or good looking but if they failed to gain support from the general public, they will still be a nobody.
To a certain extend, you can claimed that they do still have rights over their privacy but the public rights to know their private life outweigh theirs. They can choose to be more upright with their private life to minimize bad publicity but they indeed have lost their personal freedom and privacy.
The jounarlists, the papar, the publishers, the media... etc.. they are making money out of these celebrities' juicy gossips and the general public paid for it.
There are reasons why they are being compensated so much in their choice of occupation. =)

1. Jackasstheripper just seems to be a guy who really thinks Dawn is a big fat joke, just as many teenage boys I know. She is the butt of their jokes and always has been. The call her "Ah Gua" and "Plastic Barbie". I highly doubt JackAss is a girl. And IF she IS, well, there you go again blaming it on JEALOUSY. I am a girl and I am definitely NOT jealous. I just find Dawn sick because I had no idea she had a complete face change. Only thought it was somesurgery, not this drastic. 2. Jolin Tsai and Fann Wong still look like the way the were before. They just ENHANCED their looks, they didn't change them in the way Dawn did. I am NOT against plastic surgery but only when it is used to the extent of Michael Jackson or those women on The Swan. Dawn could easily be considered as one of the contestants on that show.
3. The situation in Korea is DIFFERENT than the rest of Asia. Plastic surgery there is considered a norm. Every girl, even non celebrities have plastic surgery. There is something wrong with Korea's societal values. And if we were to disregard this matter (especially when Dawn is going to represent Singapore as a "star"), what will become of Singapore's mentality on beauty? Soon all girls will think it's ok to change their faces to look like someone else other than themselves.
Sure, in every country, there are the occasional oddballs who have drastic surgery aka Michael Jackson. But Dawn has got to be the FIRST person I know who is almost comparable with Michael Jackson. Just wait and see what she will look like in years to come. This is not just something she did out of "pressure" to look beautiful. This is an inherent mental illness and she needs a psychiatrist.

So, we can properly say she got famous when she began singing. Thus on her debut CD Ayumi must not have a trace of plastic surgery, yes? However, you should probably consider one reason WHY Singapore may not have many plastic surgeries is because its population is ONLY 4,425,720 people! Singapore has less people than Hong Kong! actually its kinda incredible, how could someone as young as 21 yrs old had so much plastic surgeries done to her face.... Im not sure whether did she keeps bugging and whining at her parents to let her have a new face... this is rather saddening I guess... being parents are never easy and might even feels bad that their children doesnt born to be beautiful hence they spent tons of money to let them have a new face BUT in the end, the child decided to change her blood as WHO she was born as! DY! have you spare a thought for your parents? Don't be so proud of the fact Singapore isn't listed on Plastic Surgery rankings (not that you looked); Singapore's population is 10x smaller than Korea's (not that you'd know) - you guys don't HAVE enough people to work on. But I would like to mention - In your favor, Singapore does have a remarkable government! One of the Top 10 uncorrupted nations in the world though I can't say much about the individuals in this post. However, Korea is still within the top 50 of uncorrupted countries IN THE WORLD. If you wish bash an Asian country - China, the Philippines, or Vietnam should should fit the mold just as well - they are all much more "corrupted," Vietnam, in fact, falls with the in the 30 most corrupted nations in the world.
