i think you could be reading her post about the britney-wannabe who got surgery out of context. When i read it, my impression was she was saying it's sad girls want to cheapen themselves by becoming strippers and playmates.

Dawn wants to be famous, which is understandable, but her approach was misguided.
Don't we all know someone who will crumble without feeling assured by a certain trait/image/reputation? Her artificial looks gave her the confidence to achieve her dreams and it has given her so much security that she probably has taken it as her birthright. I suppose she cannot even admit to herself that she went for plastic surgery anymore, much less to the rest of the country?
I don't approve of her denial but I understand her problems at the same time. I don't think we'll see any admission on her end, ever.
There are so many of these people around, people who rely on a certain image or repututation they have conjured. People who spend their parents' money as though its theirs, people who borrow the shiniest cars from daddy to look cool, people who lie about the colleges they attend, the list goes on and on. Are you guilty of this too?
All these make interesting gossip but despite the unanimous condemning of such behaviour, I can safely assure you that Dawn is not the first and not the last to have created her own identity and lied to so many. Walk into Zouk members on any given day and voila! A thousand more for you to bitch about.
I guess the main point I want to make is that feeling secure, accepted and even admired, is only human nature and that some people just choose to do so with lies. This episode has undoubtedly given her a good lesson but it will sadly not change the behaviour of the countless many more like her.

hello boys n girls, believe me or not, i don't really care but i've dated dawn before. And for me, Dawn needs to give an explaination. Don't want to be an asshole telling you all everything about her but I will admit I almost threw up when i saw those pictures. Lost my pride and everything til i came to my senses. To clear up these never ending annoying issues, Dawn DOES NOT have any thai or dutch in her. She's full on chinese cuz she told me herself. Dawn's mom works for a dutch bank and flies to amsterdam once in a while but that sure doesn't amke dawn dutch. and she didn't go to usc. I know that for a fact cuz a sibling went to the same school. I got some funny stories about that but i'm not here to ruin dawn so i'll keep my mouth shut. Yes she lied, but isn't that something everyone does?Lie to all of singapore.......... wellllllllll........no comment there. anyway, I'm just here to tell you all that please do try to make her admit the truth cuz I feel cheated as well(well i should be more than all of you). Haha there's no need to flog a dead horse! Anyone slightly smarter than a moron knows the huge and vast difference between the PSC people and the bursary holders in RJ.
Even in RJ there're people who barely make it to NUS Arts and Science you know. Just that RJ doesn't publicise these people, and of course publicise their President's Scholars and the like.
Not everyone in RJ ends up as PSC scholars and is groomed to walk the corridors of power in government. The figure is like top 1% of the whole cohort. If so, how can the top tier people be distinguished if everyone else is like them?
If the bursary holders even as so much try to portray themselves as part of the league of scholars, let’s just say the only people they successfully fool are themselves, and no one else. They’re as intelligent and as much a scholar as.. well,.. Dawn is.
There’s no need to discuss this further because it’s common knowledge that everyone knows. Well at least everyone in RJ. BTW did those bursary holders tell anyone in RJ that they’re scholars? I highly doubt so.

Anonymous: I believe the reason RJC Alum, like all the scholars have a different classification from you, is because they have their own ranking bands of schools, and do not subscribe to the US College Confidential ranking band. Naturally, the College Confidential, having to cater to the general public of the United States, ranks ALL the 2000 universities and colleges in the United States so that would divide and allot 50 schools to ONE band. Which makes any silly school in the top 50, even the 50th school, in the same band as MIT.
Now tell me why would PSC scholars consider schools ranked 230th, or 146th or 367th, and so on. The scholars only consider a handful of schools in the top 15 when they apply, factoring their chosen majors and disciplines.
Ask any scholar and they’ll tell you, there're about only a handful of schools that they apply to. And they’re at most 2-3 tiers among the top 15.
Tier 1 would be indisputable and incontrovertible brandnames like Harvard and MIT. Of course an engineering student belonging to Tier 1 gets himself to MIT or Caltech, because Harvard Engineering sucks. Tier 1 Scholars doing Government(Yes, it’s a discipline) or Business (rarely) go to Harvard.
Ask any scholar and they’ll concede to you that Penn, Columbia and Cornell are lower ivies belonging to tier 2. Do you seriously think Penn, Columbia and Cornell are regarded exactly the same as MIT and Harvard? Well, because cos you belong to the group that could never apply to Top 10 schools, so naturally you’re in awe of all of them. And because scholars don't care about the 476th ranked school, they only rank the top few schools.
Not all Ivies have the same prestige, and Brown is not regarded the same as Harvard by anyone.
I’m not gloating or boasting, I can’t qualify to top 10 or 15 schools myself. Just telling you how they think and how their ranking came about.

I appreciate your explanation, and I completely understand where you're coming from. But RJC alum just needs to realize that there are many ranking structures out there. Just because in his eyes, only select schools fall into his so-called "first tier," doesn't make his ranking structure offical.
Therefore, he has no right to laugh at any school that doesn't fall into his categorization of "first tier."
Most people in the US follow the USNEWS ranking.

Sure, no one can argue that Harvard is superior to Brown. Or Princeton is superior to Cornell. Not all ivy-leagues are ranked the same. BUT that is reflected in their national rankings anyway--if you visit the link.
USC is no where near Harvard. Or Cornell. But it sure isn't ranked #426 either.
Laughing at USC is like laughing at NYU. Yet I can bet you my life savings that students in NYU, who go to the Stern School of Business, can easily earn more (and have a brighter future) than other students who graduate from supposed higher-ranked schools.
The USnews ranking is for the general public of US. It ranks all 2000+ colleges and universities.
In any case, any ranking that divides schools into groups of 50 is surely a laughing stock to people who consider top 10 schools only. That's their/my point.

AND this has nothing to do with jealousy etc. , moreover i am not against people undergoing one. however, OBVIOUSLY...she did some facial makeover.
