I have just been informed that some people have reported to the police about xiaxue's racist and anti-christian posts but the police have not taken any action as yet and may not plan to do anything about it.
Is this true? Can anyone (Blogwatchers) verify?

As for sponsors etc, I don't know if it has more to do with Wendy's connections than her blogging (though the latter does make striking a deal easier). Anyone know if she's from a well-off family? Hurting xiaxue? I don't think she finds it mean and hurtful since she is doing it to others similarly.
This is not rounding up supporters to bring someone down, it is more like a place for likeminded people to crowd around. You can see this place as an interactive unmonitored public channel for people to offer a different perspective. You can never control who and what is going to post here unless you are going to filter comments like what xiaxue does.
It doesn't matter if this is your first time visiting here or you have been here for long. The point you brought up is people who visited here have no life or maybe you meant they are dedicating their time to attack someone. And I merely explained to you xiaxue is worth no one's time to dedicate their life to put her down. She doesn't worth the effort. Here is only a place for people who disapproved her actions and attitudes to raise their voices especially since xiaxue prefers to listen to sweet and flattering notes only.
I believe most come here not because they support xialanxue or hate xiaxue badly, but regard this as a place that they can talk about an issue freely.
If you have noticed, xialanxue rarely contributes much here and he/she isn't putting in much effort to keep this blog alive. Is the visitors who shared a bit of their time and their opinions now and then to keep this blog going. While visitors simply made use of this real-time interactions to voice their views or joined in the fun out of curiosities. It is similar to gossiping with friends but here you gossiped with a wider audience about one "blogger"..uhemm.
I don't think the pace of Singapore allows anyone to dedicate their time on such unconstructive activity. So, it is always wise not to take it seriously. It is "entertainment".
jackie, people like myself are not here to "bring down" Xiaxue. We're not XLX "supporters" either--in fact, some of us don't always approve of the things XLX does. We're here to give our opinions of Xiaxue and her blogging--without her meddling with our comments.

Agree! The comment section here is more entertaining that xiaxue's. You can really yawn at the comment section there! The comments are more or less like this.."WOW! More pictures please! You look so pretty! Nice pictures! Where you buy that skirt ah? that guy is so cute! .. etc" She is more appealing to young boys and girls who are still studying in pri or sec school lah.

What is this article about? Stop reading her blog lah. I don't see any interests in reading a blog where that blogger is so full of herself and sees things in such a shallow mentality. When you are too full of yourself, what kind of interesting perspectives you can offer to your readers? Nothing!
There are many many blogs out there who can make you laugh and learn more about the world and wisdom of life. Hers is like an over-aged teen's ranting. If I don't know her age, I actually thought is a blog by a 14 year old.
Remember XiaXue's birthday when dozen of people come to her party? That's when she have lots of photos to take. But the only thing now is she's lacking that "thing".
She don't go out more often and take photos with celebrities. And associate more with the outside world. That's what people like. To see more of those HOT celebrities photo.And all her friends are the same old, Weili, Shuyin and June. The rest are probably dead.
She have to face the fact, no matter what she is not a celebrity. She have no looks, no manners and just a boring blogger. If this post somehow bore you, it's the influence of her blog. And there's nothing good to say abt her.

though the photos were sourced from a third party, assuming that xx will be successful in a claim of defamation, xlx will also be liable in the tort of defamation as each act of republication will constitute a separate cause of action. each republication will hold the republisher (i.e. xlx) liable.

That's a very big "suppose if".
Anyway, let's get this straight. We all make defamatory statements everytime. You call someone a "cheat", that's slander; you slam a director's talent (or lack of) in a review, that's libel. Heck, a lot of people can actually sue Xiaxue for the things she publishes on her blog--including Furongjie's photo, which she doctored because she thought the Chinese blogger was, ahem, fat (and Furong didn't even provoke her).
We don't go around threatening people with lawsuits all the time simply because i)legal costs, and ii)you have to prove that the comments are malicious and false, and your reputation has been injured.
The rich and powerful (in other words, people who are REALLY in the public eye) threaten their critics with defamation suits; the ordinary person can't afford and have a tougher time justifying the damage done to their reputation. Xiaxue might think she's "famous", but unfortunately, she falls into the latter category.
Besides, like I've said before, even if Xiaxue sues, it doesn't mean those photos of hers are going to disappear from the Internet. They'll just end up somewhere else--like in US servers--wehre our local judiciary can't exercise their powers.
So there you go. Facts, and common sense. =)

It's not like she can see them from behind the cubicle....
It's easy to forget that there's only one cubicle in the toilet that these people can use, and it's frustrating for them when they have to wait while an able-bodied person is using it (simply because, like Xiaxue says, it's more spacious).
It's as bad as parking your vehicle in a lot that's reserved for the handicapped. So what's the excuse for that? You'd gladly move your car when they need it?

in the tort of defamation as far as i know, the plaintiff does not need to prove that the comments were malicious or false. all the plaintiff needs to show is the material is defamatory (be it literally or through legal innuendo or popular innuendo), that he or she has been sufficiently identified and that there has been publication to a third party.

Intelligent and common-sensical critique? That's likely because she has not filtered the comments yet. She ONLY allows those comments by her fans who tell her how great she is to appear. as a XX fan, i don't think it's wrong to point out her flaws.
but isn't it much better if we just tell her to improve her flaws rather than telling about her flaws?

Why are people supporting XIAXUE? Is it because she sounds like she is crying in her apologise for her newest entry? Hey, we don't hate XIAXUE for no reason. In fact, i hate her so much that i hope she would stop blogging. For a "celebrity" like her, there should be nice fans. But her fans are all like cruel and so lesbian in love with her. Like "celebrity" like fans. Indeed very true.
If she don't give her seat up to a pregnant woman, is also her business but it also shows how much of a person she is. And you as a reader, think that this is OK? I mean it's nothing wrong for a choice. But wrong words are chosen. The universe will not get affected but i bet no one will do such kind act anyway.
Everyone has someone to hate. And like other people had said XIAXUE only thinks she is pretty and guys who think that they are beautiful are fools. Do you want to worship us who is more truthful in our words or people like XIAXUE. As her bad remarks on celebrties grow, the more people will keep talking bad about her non stop. So don't blame us.
Stupid people are definitely more. Because they choose to. And if you insult people this way, can't we anti-xx insult you back too?

It's not like we didn't try. It's not like she'd bother anyway. Like you rightly pointed out, it's hard getting through to people who think they're always right.
As for why it matters, it's b'cos she's an "agenda setter" (a word Wendy should know from her poly education), especially with her public profile and legion of devoted blog-duhs. She can influence readers with her opinions (why do you think brand names endorse her?) =)

it seems that when she gets herself in hot water, she tries to draw a line between her online and offline persona claiming that "Xiaxue" is not the same as "Wendy". But when she gets carried away by her own "achievements", "Wendy" is proud to claim the identity of "XiaXue" again. Interesting..
This remind me of her sparring with Fiona Xie. I vaguely remember the reason she gave was FX is different infront of the media and behind the scenes. Now, did dear Xiaxue just tried to explain that she is different IRL too? lol She accepts herself to be different IRL but others who claimed so are a hypocrite? Very Interesting..
Now with her recent podcast fishing for sympathy, seems like those who throw stones her way are being seen as baddies. It does remind me again the way she cornered FX. lol When FX has already taken a step back, dear Xiaxue instead of letting the matter rest, she gave FX another hard kick. There she was standing, laughing and immersing in the joy of her victory along the cheering of her fans.

Ultimately, she still do not admit that she is not right. She still insist that she is being misunderstood and others are being unreasonable to find faults on her.

I dislike it when she uses her "popularity" to seek revenge on anyone who has stepped on her toes, to the extend of posting the involved parties' photos and real names online. It too seems that she does that not only when she feels revengeful, she does it when she wants the fun and out of mere boredom too. How many times she proudly wrote a side note "I don't think ABC is reading my blog, so I can say whatever I want"?
Fine, if she thinks there is nothing wrong with what she does. BUT why she retaliates strongly when her toes is being stepped on the SAME WAY she stepped on others? All of a sudden, that stepping on becomes ABSOLUTELY WRONG when it happens on her but it becomes ABSOLUTELY RIGHT when she does it to others?
Is it too much to ask from a 21 year old who received a proper education to understand what justice, fairness and respect is?

No. She is entitled to keep her seat. But I don't think it is very unreasonable to expect compassion and understanding from someone?
As I don't think compassion has anything to do with your educational level, your career or academic achievements. I don't think it has anything to do with your age either. It has nothing to do with your looks either. It has nothing to do with how wide or how narrow your social cirle or how active or inactive your social life is either.
So I guess compassion is what everyone is capable of giving, even if you have physical disabilities.

I also stay near her but can't tell you where I stay exactly. She is quite short and plump in person.. I'm 1.62 and she is still shorter than me with her heels.. so.. I don't know how tall is she.. maybe 1.5? Quite plump also.. and where ever she goes.. eyes turn to her.. because she is always wearing thick and colorful makeup and very eye glaring color clothes and super short skirt. You feel like seeing a walking big thick tree trunk with all the wrong color combinations christmas lights bulbs walking past you. Not ugly but not as pretty as you see on her blog's photos.
I saw her on tv yesterday night. How come she look very different from her blog photos? I did not listen to what she said though. Just went to see her face and went to do my own stuff.
Yeah I did report to MBA and they said they would look into the matter but so far (2 months) no actions have been taken.
Maybe because she edited her entry to make it look less racist. However she caused a major commotion among those who saw her entry before the edition.
